All of our staff provide assistance in the activities of daily living to our developmentally disabled residents in our seven homes in San Rafael, Novato and in our community.
direct support professional
The primary role of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to work with our developmentally disabled adult residents in a home and community setting, and assist them as needed through nearly every facet of day-to-day living. Cornerstone has seven residential care facilities located in Novato and San Rafael. The Program Manager/Facility Administrator is the direct supervisor of the Direct Support Professional.
Day program professional
The Day Program Professional is responsible for carrying out the Individualized Day Program Plan of a developmentally disabled Cornerstone client with serious behavioral issues. The Day Program Professional will work with the client on a one-to-one basis in a community setting to teach and supervise the client with primary consideration to the client’s health, safety and well-being, and personal growth.

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager is responsible for weekend supervision of the direct support staff, including responding to calls and arranging for staff coverage in the event of an absence, resolving problems as they arise and providing supervision, leadership, and training to the other Direct Support Professionals.

The Program Manager is responsible for the efficient operation and management of a Cornerstone residential facility program for individuals with developmental disabilities and maladaptive behaviors. The Program Manager is
responsible for the supervision of direct support staff and implementation of the residents’ Individual Service Plans.
